Discover the natural and cultural treasures of Morocco's southwest with a scenic hike through the ancient argan forest, home to the Argania Spinosa, an endemic tree known as the ""iron tree"" for its resilience to arid climates.
The experience begins in the morning at Auberge Zolado, perched above the valley. From there, you'll follow a peaceful trail through the forest to reach the traditional village of Aoudjou, where a local resident will welcome you with an authentic Berber breakfast in a warm, family setting.
You'll then continue to the village of Tazarine, famous for its natural spring called Ali-Iguaja. Along the way, you'll explore traditional irrigation systems and visit olive and argan oil presses that are still in use today.
The hike concludes with a homemade lunch back at the guesthouse.

Embark on a one-of-a-kind journey to explore a living piece of heritage: the Inzerki collective apiary, recognized as the oldest and largest traditional beekeeping site in the world. This remarkable structure, still in use today, reflects the deep-rooted wisdom of Berber communities.
Your day begins with a hearty breakfast at Auberge Zolado, followed by a scenic drive to Aghbalou (1,300 m altitude), where the landscape becomes lush and green as you enter the Ain Asmama SIBE (Biological and Ecological Interest Site), rising up to 1,580 m.
After a picnic-style lunch surrounded by nature, you'll head to the village of Almzi, set within an argan forest often visited by tree-climbing goats. There, you'll enjoy an exclusive meeting with a local beekeeper, who will open up the world of traditional hives and share the secrets of honey production in the region.
To end the experience, you'll visit Tiktinte, a village well known for its rural pottery craftsmanship.

Start your day at Auberge Zolado and set off on a 16-kilometer hike through stunning and diverse natural landscapes. You'll pass through the village of Sinite before reaching Touchka, located at 1,600 meters above sea level. This highland area is known for its mixed forests of thuya, argan, holm oak, Aleppo pine, and a variety of medicinal plants traditionally used by locals.
If you're lucky, you may spot a gazelle, a partridge, or even a golden eagle along the way.
The trail leads you through the oasis of Aguerssouane, a peaceful haven filled with olive and palm trees, where a local family will warmly welcome you for a traditional Berber lunch in an authentic setting.
In the afternoon, you'll make a stop to visit the troglodyte houses of Agadir-Imouzgane, carved into the rock — fascinating relics from the era of Portuguese occupation. You'll then follow the path back to Zolado, completing the full loop.
